In the article “Pedagogy, Connectivity, Multimodality, and Interdisciplinarity,” the authors discuss the various educational shifts driven by our interconnected world.  A multimodal teaching approach allows students to engage in different learning methods, such as visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. This teaching approach will enable educators to promote a more inclusive and effective classroom environment. Students can incorporate their learning styles to meet their necessary objectives. 

The authors also stress the pivotal role of connectivity in contemporary education. Technology is an essential resource in education, and its potential is truly exciting. It enriches students’ learning experience and gives them access to various information that can assist them. By incorporating technology, teachers can create a more interactive and collaborative classroom environment, sparking excitement among educators. Students can access applications that allow them to give their peers feedback in real time, further enhancing the collaborative nature of the classroom. There are applications that students can use to be creative to respond to prompts. Also, majority of standardized testing is completing on a computer. Therefore, incorporating the use of technology can better prepare students to be assessed. 

The article touches on the use of other subjects to help address academic needs in the classroom. Subjects like science, art, and social studies can support educators in creating more relevant and engaging learning experiences, prepare students for involvement in real-world problems, and encourage critical thinking and creativity. Students can use previous knowledge of the subjects to apply to the new content being taught. As a future educator, I believe that integrating multimodal strategies, technology, and collaboration in the classroom can address the needs of all students and promote a diverse learning environment.
