Both of these sources show that writing is one of those things that’s more based on feeling/ human input than other things. What I mean by this is while you can improve writing, it’s a personal sort of thing. Much like something like a movie review, there’s always going to be some sort of human error for lack of a better term, there is some type of subjectivity or goal people want to achieve when writing something. Even with what I’m writing, my audience is our professor and possibly students in the class. Here is a quote from Elizabeth Wardle “There is no such thing as writing in general. Do you doubt this claim? Test it out. Go to your desk right now and attempt to write something in general. Do not write for any specific audience, purpose, or context.” Writing is unique because it’s something we as humans do, we can tell stories and have people experience all different types of emotions. Even limits help us create sometimes as depending on how limited we are those limitations could make something we wouldn’t have made before. As stated here by Savini “ Though it may seem counterintuitive at the outset, one way to diminish the considerable difficulty of getting started on a new assignment is to look for something that troubles you, seek out difficulty, find problems” In conclusion writing is something us humans can pat ourselves on the back for as it’s a tool we can use to entertain and teach others and bring more joy into our lives, even with limits.
Writing is an experience that is unique to us human beings as we can control what others feel. That’s something that’s cool with writing.
