In Elizabeth Wardle’s reading, she explains that it is impossible to “write in general” she explains that each writing that is written, should be organized, planned, and should demonstrate a specific idea of the writing. In other words, my belief is that while writing, writers need to apply thought and knowledge to whatever they’re writing. Everything each writer does, is based on what they already know and examples from previous writing. Wardle believes that there is always more to learn when writing, and that is something that most people don’t think about while writing an essay, novel, etc. Some teachers, professors, or even anyone outside of a school setting may expect someone to write an essay on something they have never written about before, or has no idea on how to properly write that paper. She makes it clear and known that writers do ma ke mistakes and its okay to fail and struggle. However, good writers learn from their mistakes and take those mistakes as a learning experience and remember what they learned in their next writing assignment. One thing that stood out to me in Wardles writing is her statement “Yes, she can apply and repurpose some of what she already knows how to do, but she will have to learn new things and not expect that what she already knows about writing is easily appli- cable in new situations.” In other words, in every writing that an individual writes has to apply new learning techniques into each writing as each writing has its own techniques.

Throughout the writing by Catherine Savini, she explained that while writing something about a useful problem or situation, this can help develop a strong argumentative thesis, which then creates a strong writing. Savini speaks mostly about how she can get students/writers to have a meaningful and interesting paper that will encourage people to want to read them and make their writing more interesting by adding more complex ideas and come up with questions about that particular topic. they have more to write about and will create more ideas and possibly some arguments that could be explained in their writing.
