The Gagich article provide strategies for educators to interrogate multi model composing into their work. The article emphasizes the need for students to develop critical thinking and technical skills. Gagich suggests practical approaches, such as collaborative projects that foster creativity and enhance engagement. The article advocates for embracing composition as a vital part of literacy education. I personally enjoy that Gagich prepares students for a world where communication is increasingly diverse, and interactive. I also like how the author mentioned challenges students may face such as technological barriers, and the need for critical thinking and choosing the right modes for their messages. Overall, I didn’t find this article very interesting, and I expected more from the length of the text.
Michael J. Klein and Kristi L. Shackelford created an article that explores the significance of document design and formatting in writing education. The one thing I found interesting about this article is that it argues that effective document design goes beyond traditional presentation and involves visual elements, such as layout, color and imagery to enhance communication. I found this point to be very interesting and helpful when brainstorming about enhancing document design. Both Klein and Shackelford provide strategies for educators to teach students about the importance of visual rhetoric, and how to apply design concepts to their own work. I found this article way more interesting since I found myself understanding document design easier, and how it is essential for preparing students for the work they will be doing in the real world.
