Growing, not just as a writer but in life will require you to face a lot of trials and tribulations. There will be situations where you won’t come out being successful. Facing failure or taking a loss is not the end of the world but more of a stepping stone to bettering yourself. Yeakel said “We are not born out of the womb with a pencil in our hands, brains full of information to record” and this is reinforcement behind failure being good. Writing amongst other skills takes time and practice which will come with failures, before success.
To move ona and grow from failure is success. Being able to reflect on where you needed improvement, and learn from it is a part of success. “There is no growth or courage to continue if there is no failure”. When you face failure, that gives you the opportunity to be courageous and move forward. No matter the situation, whatever moment of failure you face, it will be temporary and you’ll continue to grow from there.
Writing is enjoyed by many, including myself. No matter the genere or style of writing used, there will always be mistakes. Academic writing differs from my personal writing(s). I faced multiple challenges and failures in both settings, but I took what I learned from my mistakes and improved. Failing builds skill and your willingness to do and be better. Failure is the key to success. As you write you may ask yourself “How can I make this better?”, and as Yeakel said “Failure helps us proceed within the writing process”. Writing is ideas/thoughts that we put on paper. As writers write and reread, ontop of getting outside feedback, you will be presented with multiple improvements to be made on your behalf as well as others. Making mistakes will be what makes you into your best version of yourself.
