writing style?

I think I don’t have a very distinct writing style. I believe when I start writing narratives I just write, my ideas aren’t nearly as organized as others. I think I would benefit from prewriting like I did in middle school. I think like everybody else when I write something i like or am passionate about I tend to write better and sometimes I write as if I’m having a conversation with somebody. Writing without a goal is hard but every time I write I think I have a goal. I think the article about writing in the first person is very interesting.

Not only do I think writing in first person is easy but it feels more real. I think writing in the first person is easier because you’re almost speaking from experience. I don’t think it’s possible to speak in first person if you’re not speaking from experience. When I write scripts whether it be for class or for myself I also I’ve always been told a writer writes what they know. Would that be considered first person?  If a person writes a story using two characters, not including themselves but writes about their experience would that be considered first person still?  I still often ask myself is there a difference between a self-insert and just storytelling from the first person.  I also don’t know what my style of writing is. I don’t think my style stands out but I do hope when reading my writing the reader can tell the type of personality I have.
