I like how both articles talk about the way people react and respond to certain things. But When it comes to writing for a professional setting like in college, jobs and etc there’s a specific way to word what you’re saying. The Article talks about increasing to have of computers in personal settings like schools and homes. Without the skills of writing on or offline, how would people communicate? Today’s world is filled with technology. The Second article also talks about people’s way of talking. But the second article is more detailed and comes from a POV instead of the author and co-authors. It also describes a more environmental setting where a common situation could happen. For example, from the article, a situation would be “Gimme a match wouldya” This isn’t how people would talk to a teacher or your boss. It’s a slang language that most younger people including myself use on a daily. But with my parents and people older than I have to change up our slang words and use the proper way of saying things like Right instead of Ight. Both have the same meanings they’re just spelled differently. Using slang terms sometimes makes it sound uneducated or improper in today’s world. The article also states that the “saying-doing” of the slang terms is all wrong. Some people see it as wrong and rude because of the way it was said. Some people see it right because they’re used to the sayings because they’ve been around people who also use the same sayings.
