Ughhh, Multitasking…

You’ve likely heard that multitasking is problematic, but new studies show that it kills your performance and may even damage your brain, says Travis Bradberry.

I 100% agree with Bradberry. I absolutely can not function properly if I’m scrolling on social media and trying to do an assignment.

I actually deleted all of my social medias to give myself a break and to disconnect with the social media world. I felt like I was focusing more on what everyone else was doing and trying to fit in with “what the world was doing”.

Amicucci says When you start working on a college essay, pick an essay you admire to be your “challenge” essay that—like a TikTok challenge you can replicate and make your own. This can be a good thing. It’s like seeing something you like, then using your creative ability to make it into your own. But for me social media was more of a distraction. For me it kind of stopped my creativity.

I never looked at things that way I only ever used social media for entertainment purposes. But as technology grows and the worlds continues to advance, we are constantly learning more and trying out new things. I wish I had that type of understanding when I was a frequent social media user. I think it is very impressive that a person can watch a video about something and let that be inspiration for an assignment they have to do.

I think overall I’ve never thought about doing that because I’d feel so guilty like it’s illegal to do something similar based off someone else’s work.
