I wish I could see how the project conducted by Nancy Allen and their team in person because the report was certainly eye catching. Even though I’m not a fan working within a group (sometimes), the research article and Nancy’s discoveries prove that collaboration is something common yet effective in writing (processes). One part of the article that caught me with interest the most was when Nancy describes the differences each individual from specific groups had in terms of profession. In addition, the group interactions were fun to read and especially where the article discusses some of the problems the groups had to face during the experiment. I hope one day I would be part of an experiment similar to this in order to get that crazy experience.
It would be interesting to see if my group either fails or succeeds, better if we were to achieve. Failure is a nice refresher to let someone know that they must learn to try again and become more progressive. However, it’s not something to yearn for whenever dealing with tedious tasks (at least for me). I don’t think we should be hoping for failure every time; this brings me to my next point. I don’t fully agree with Alexus Yeakel and their article title “Failure is Awesome“. Alexus’ reasoning to having failures being beneficial is understandable, I just can’t accept that having failures must be praised as much as accomplishments. Other than that, I absolutely agree with everything else Alexus describes about failures (in writing).
