Heine says, whenever you’re writing anything you need to find your style and voice and this will be shown through your writing. Of course, the more you write the more you can learn to find your style and voice. This is true the more you write the better you become at it just like anything else. Practice makes perfect. The author answers a very important question that many people may ask. How do you find your style and voice? The answer is simple by being original in your writing, using life experiences, stepping out of your comfort zone, and by writing more. These are obvious steps that you don’t even think of because you are most likely doing them and if not now you know. Something I found interesting is that you need to understand your style and voice and know when to let it out. This is important when writing a research paper. The author emphasizes that in order to find your style and voice you need to practice! Finding your style and voice in your writing will allow you to be more proficient which will make you confident in the work you do. I really enjoyed this reading. It made me think of my writing and what I can do differently especially because I can relate to it, after all it was meant for college students. I strongly agree the more you write and read the better of a writer you will become you will learn new vocabulary and write better.
