Writing is a universal language that can be written in multiple ways and with characters. Everyone at some point in their life will have to learn how to write. Writing is an extremely important tool that should be mastered by whoever is learning how to write. But the real question is, should we study the art of writing? Writing is a word with many definitions like art, free will, power, expression, etc. Look, there is no general way of “writing” let’s be real. Writing comes from you and only you. There are no restrictions on what you write and how you write it. All restrictions do is hinder the ability of the writer from expressing their selves on either a piece of paper or a laptop. This is my personal opinion of the statement at hand. The only thing stopping you from being a good writer is the flow of the writing, the topic at hand, and grammar. Writing is an art that can not be studied but can be grown and become better.
Why is writing difficult?
Writing is no walk in the park. You cannot just look at something and just start randomly writing. Unless you just got it like that but that is beside the point. Writing can be difficult because as a writer you have to plan exactly what you are trying to talk about regardless of what format you are writing under. When looking at Savini’s rule of navigating writing she explains her four steps. Noticing, Articulating a problem and its details, Posing fruitful questions, and Identifying. The only thing I do not agree with Savini on is that she wants people to make writing complicated. To her, if the prompt is too easy, complicate it to have the best results. In my opinion, I do not agree with what she is stating but I do see where Savani is coming
