But from this article from Forbes by Travis Bradberry, it says that this could actually be detrimental for yourself brain and career. Even when you think you’re good at multi-tasking, the survey suggests that you’re actually worse at multi-tasking and switching around when trying to finish assignments.

It reduces your efficiency and performance because your brain can only occupy one thing at a time, or that it even lowers IQ. We should learn from it and while it’s not entirely proven that it does damage the brain, we should be more focused on what we do while we do our tasks. It’s okay to do it every so often but not to indulge in it constantly, it’s a bad habit, because if you get used to it, then you might not be able to focus to do anything. The best thing that you can do is pace yourself so you can get what you need to do done.
